Privacy policy

This site is my portfolio. There is no shop, newsletter or form here, so I collect very little data. Here is exactly what and why.

Who is responsible for the data

Piotr Zborowski. For anything about personal data, write to me:

Cookies

Visitors get no cookies. Session and form protection cookies (sessionid, csrftoken) appear only when logging in to the editing panel, which only I use.

Your choice of theme (light or dark) is saved in your browser's storage (localStorage). It stays with you and is never sent to the server.

Visit statistics

To know which texts are read and where readers come from, I use Umami on my own server. Umami sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not store your IP address. For each page view it records:

  • the address and title of the page and the page the visit came from,
  • the type of browser, system and device, the screen size and the language,
  • the country, region and city derived from the IP address (the address itself is not stored),
  • clicks I have marked, such as downloading the PDF resume.

Page views of one visit are linked by an identifier that changes every day, so it is impossible to tell that the same person came back the next day, or who they are. I do not share the statistics with anyone.

Server

The site and the statistics run on an OVHcloud server in London (United Kingdom, a country the European Commission recognises as providing adequate data protection). Encrypted backups are kept at OVHcloud in Warsaw.

The server log records the page address, the time and the browser, without the IP address. The oldest entries are removed automatically once the log reaches a set size. Searches on the site are not recorded.

Links to other sites

The site links to GitHub and LinkedIn, among others. Once you follow such a link, that site's own rules apply.

Your rights

You can ask whether I hold any of your data and request a copy, a correction or deletion. In practice this site cannot tell who you are, so usually there will be nothing to show, but I am happy to answer. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish data protection authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych).

This policy applies from 6 October 2026.
